About Us

A Family-Owned Cottage Business

Our love for freeze drying & food preservation has gone to the next level…CANDY! Now it time for you to experience the revelation!

Freeze drying isn’t just for meats, fruits, and veggies anymore.
With freeze drying, you can enjoy many of your favorite nostalgic sweets in a whole new way, and even find some new favorites!

During the freeze drying process, many candies change in both texture and taste. Flavor is often enhanced, and textures can go from chewy to crunchy, or even light and airy!

Candy that once stuck in your teeth now melts in your mouth, making freeze dried candy a big hit for those who have braces, bridges or crowns! You can stop saying “No, thank you” to your favorite sweets, and instead say “Yes, please!” to enhanced flavor and crispy, crunchy texture that many times ends up melting in your mouth! YUM!

That’s without even getting us started on the taste. When the moisture is removed, the flavor that’s left behind packs a major punch! Sweet becomes sweeter, and sour becomes even more sour!

We look forward to your smiles!

Your most burning questions!

Freeze drying (also known as lyophilization) is a water removal process typically used to preserve perishable materials, with the goal of extending their shelf life and/or
preparing them for transport. Freeze drying works by freezing the material, then reducing the pressure and adding heat to allow the frozen water in the material to change directly to a vapor (sublimate).

The Cottage Food Law allows for individuals to make and sell certain non-potentially hazardous food and canned goods in Minnesota without a license. This law, the Cottage Food Exemption, went into effect in 2015 and includes details on the prior training and registration, types of food allowed, food labeling, types of sales locations, and amount of sales allowed by a cottage food producer.
More info available at: https://www.mda.state.mn.us/food-feed/cottage-food-law-guidance

With our current licensing under cottage law, we are only able to sell in-person. This will likely change in the future as this business grows, so be sure to join our mailing list and follow us on Facebook and Instagram in order to keep up to date with the latest sweet developments!

That number is continuously growing as we are constantly experimenting with new candies. As we grow, we’ll be able to offer even more variety and different types of products to satisfy all of your cravings.

We are currently offering our treats exclusively at fairs and events around central Minnesota. Check out our calendar to see where you can find us next. Contact us if you’d like to have freeze dried candy at your next birthday party, or if you want something a little different for a wedding.
